Design/Build

The Stratum approach really gets fine tuned in design/build. In fact we often hear our customers thought that design/build was where we would begin, only to have us ask a whole lot of questions about their business; customers; sales processes; customer service options; guarantees; advertising campaigns; public relations etc. And they end up saying, “Wow, we didn’t realize we should bring all of that together on our web site”.

We approach the design/build part of the overall process not like the creation of a brochure or a painting or the façade of a building; we think about the intersection of marketing, advertising and public relations more like your campus. And we help figure out where that campus might be located in your town or your city. What corridors bring traffic to you? Once on campus what signage tells me which building to enter? Once I enter the building where will I find the hall of records? Will it be easy to look things up? How do I sign up to attend a lecture or watch a video? Does this space, this place, have a color scheme I’ll recall?

Done well, online work will brand a very distinct look but surprise visitors with its ease of use and conformity. Design/build is part art, part industrial design, part marketing all rolled into a new online discipline. Achieving online brand clarity starts with specifics and requirements. When this approach is followed, a clear picture emerges. Sure it’s obvious you need a front door, but is it also obvious if it will swing left or right, in or out? What if most every other door swings out, should yours?

This isn’t to say there’s no subjectivity, that two groups couldn’t come up with very different solutions, but it is to say that Stratum’s years of experience means we know how to take input, add value and then execute a creative solution that can be delivered via an objective plan reducing risk and raising rewards. Just ask:
